アメリカとイギリスは世界的経済危機に悩まされているから、極東問題にて、我と事を構う意は毛頭なく、むしろ反対に満州問題についても、妥当な解決策があるならば、よろこんで交渉に応じたいのだが、外務省はなんら具体案を提示できずにいる。
The United States and Great Britain were so troubled by the global economic crisis that they do not have the least intention of starting up anything against us in the Far Eastern problem. On the contrary, they would be more than ready to negotiate a reasonable solution to the Manchurian issue, but the Foreign Ministry had failed to present anything concrete.
