そういえば + phrase

Example sentences:

そういえば、彼がどこに住んでいるのか聞いたことがない。
Now that you mention it, I’ve never been told where he lives.
sou ieba, kare ga doko ni sunde iru no ka kiita koto ga nai.

 

いい家ですね。そういえば、お兄さんは建築家さんでしたよね。
It’s a very nice house. Come to think of it, isn’t your big brother an architect?
ii ie desu ne. sou ieba, oniisan wa kenchikuka san deshita yo ne.

 

まてよ、そういえば、なんか以前に一回、そんなことを言ってた。
Hang on, I think I remember you saying something about it once.
mate yo, sou ieba, nanka izen ni ikkai, sonna koto o itteta.

 

売り場が混んでいると思ったら、チョコレートか。ああ、そういえば、明日はバレンタインデーだった。
The shops are full of people who want to buy chocolate. Come to think about it, tomorrow is Valentine’s Day.

そういえば、この殺人犯についての記事を読んだのは、まだつい最近のことだ。
Come to think of it, I have read something about the murder, and quite recently.
sou ieba, kono satsujinhan ni tsuite no kiji o yonda no wa, mada tsui saikin no koto da.

 

松田は気がふれているっていうけどね、そういえば、いまあの人、どうもほんとうにそんな具合なのよ。
And as for Matsuda being mad, he certainly seems like it now.
matsuda wa ki ga furete iru tte iu kedo ne, sou ieba, ima ano hito, doumo hontou ni sonna guai na no yo.
