Meaning: utmost; extremely

の至り is usually used with 光栄, 恐縮 and 感激.

Formation:

Noun + の至り

Example sentences:

大統領にお目にかかれて、実に光栄の至りです。
It’s my utmost honor to be able to meet Mr. President.
daitouryou ni ome ni kakarete, jitsu ni kouei no itari desu.

 

言葉遣いの間違いを指摘され、赤面の至りだった。
I was pointed out that I used wrong words. It was so embarrassing.
kotobazukai no machigai o shiteki sare, sekimen no itari datta.

 

こんな立派な賞をいただきまして、光栄の至りです。
I feel deeply honored to receive such an amazing award.
konna rippana shou o itadakimashite, kouei no itari desu.

 

おほめの言葉をいただき、恐縮の至りでございます。
I’m grateful for being praised by you.
ohome no kotoba o itadaki, kyoushuku no itari degozaimasu.

 

あなたのような大スターとお会いできるなんて感激の至りです。
I feel grateful for having the chance to meet a big star like you.
anata no you na daisutaa to oai dekiru nante kangeki no itari desu.

 

奥さん、まったく感激のいたりで…そのお気持ちにたいして…なんとお礼を申しあげたらよいのかさえわかりません。
Madam, I am so touched. I don’t know how to thank you, indeed… for such kindness.
okusan, mattaku kangeki no itari de, sono o kimochi ni tai shite, nanto orei o moushi agetara yoi no ka sae wakarimasen.
