Formation:

なるべく + action

Example sentences:

なるべく危険は避けたい。
I want to avoid danger as much as I can.
narubeku kiken wa saketai.

 

そこはみんながなるべく近寄らない場所である。
That’s a place most people avoid.
soko wa minna ga narubeku chikayoranai basho de aru.

 

なるべく早くお返事をください。
Please write back quickly.
narubeku hayaku ohenji o kudasai.

 

なるべく外へは出ないようにしている。
I’m trying not to go out.
narubeku soto ewa denai you ni shite iru.

 

なるべく早く帰りたい。
I want to go home as soon as possible.
narubeku hayaku kaeritai.

 

「お邪魔して本当にすみません」彼はなるべく小さな声で言った。
“I’m really sorry to disturb you,” he said as quietly as possible.
ojama shite hontou ni sumimasen. kare wa narubeku chiisana koe de itta.

I merged to the middle of the group, slouching low, trying to stay out of sight.
watashi wa ichidan no mannaka o aruki, narubeku medatanai you se o marumeta.
