I’m afraid of ghosts.
私は幽霊が怖いです.
watashi wa yuurei ga kowai desu.

It’s too scary.
恐ろしすぎるよ.
osoroshisugiru yo.

I was just scared stiff.
死ぬほどこわかったんです.
shinu hodo kowakattan desu.

I felt a flash of fear.
戦慄を覚えた.
senritsu o oboeta.

I’m afraid. I’m afraid of everything.
私、こわいんです. 何もかもおそろしくなりました.
watashi, kowain desu. nanimokamo osoroshiku narimashita.

I was too fearful.
私は恐怖に目がくらんでいた.
watashi wa kyoufu ni me ga kurande ita.

I’m scared of heights.
私は高所恐怖症です.
watashi wa kousho kyoufushou desu.

It’s infinitely frightening.
非常におそるべきですよ.
hijou ni osoru beki desu yo.

I’m afraid to go out alone at night.
夜間、独りで出歩くのが怖いです.
yakan, hitori de dearuku no ga kowai desu.

saiaku no kenen ga, tatta ima genjitsu no mono to natta.

I was just so scared I couldn’t scream.
あまりの恐ろしさに、私は叫ぶこともできません.
amari no osoroshisa ni, watashi wa sakebu koto mo dekimasen.

I’m afraid of going to hell.
地獄行きになるのが怖い.
jigokuiki ni naru no ga kowai.

Lots of children are afraid of the dark.
子供はたいてい暗闇を怖がる.
kodomo wa taitei kurayami o kowagaru.

She was too frightened to cry.
彼女は怖くて泣くこともできなかった.
kanojo wa kowakute naku koto mo dekinakatta.

That man’s scared out of his senses.
あの男は怯えきっている.
ano otoko wa obiekitte iru.
