Are you sure?
本当に?/確かか?
hontou ni./tashika ka.

No, that’s not possible.
まさか、ありえないよ./まさか、そんなことありっこない.
masaka, arienai yo./masaka, sonna koto arikkonai.

Don’t be ridiculous.
冗談はおよしなさい.
joudan wa oyoshi nasai.

It seem quite unlikely.
その可能性はきわめて低い.
sono kanousei wa kiwamete hikui.

You sure you weren’t dreaming?
夢でも見たんじゃないのか?
yume demo mitan janai no ka.

That’s hardly something to joke about.
そんなことを、冗談にも言ってはいけないわ.
sonna koto o, joudan ni mo itte wa ikenai wa.

Had it really happened?
本当に起こったことだろうか?

I’m not sure this is going to work.

Are you sure this is the right way?

I’m not sure if that’s a compliment.

But we’re not sure if that’s true.

I have some doubt about his reliability.
彼が信頼できるかどうか、少し心配なところがある.
kare ga shinrai dekiru ka dou ka, sukoshi shinpai na tokoro ga aru.

Surely that’s a little bit of an overstatement?
まさか、それはちょっと大げさじゃないか?
masaka, sore wa chotto oogesa ja nai ka.

You’re not actually disappointed, are you?
まさか、がっかりしてるんじゃないだろうな?
masaka, gakkari shiterun janai darou na.

It’s hard to know what to believe these days.
最近は、何を信じたらいいか知るのが難しい.
saikin wa, nani o shinjitara ii ka shiru no ga muzukashii.

Are you sure about this?
ね、ほんとにそうなの?
ne, honto ni sou na no.

That sounds fishy.
うさんくさいなあ.
usankusai naa.

Nonsense!
ナンセンス!
nansensu.
