Formation:

Noun + のたびに
Verb-dictionary form + たびに

Example sentences:

彼らは顔をあわせるたびに喧嘩する。
karere wa kao o awaseru tabi ni kenka suru.
They always fight whenever they see each other.

彼はその事件を思い出すたびに、いまでも涙が出るほど笑う。
kare wa sono jiken o omoidasu tabi ni, ima demo namida ga deru hodo warau.
Every time he thinks about that incident, he laughs so hard that tears come out of his eyes.

この本を読むたびに、彼のことを思い出す。
kono hon o yomu tabi ni, kare no koto o omoidasu.
I think about him whenever I read this book.

誕生日のたびに、盛大なパーティーをやります。
tanjoubi no tabi ni, seidai na paatii o yarimasu.
I always have a big birthday party every year.

山田さんは会うたびに髪型が違う。
yamada san wa au tabi ni kamigata ga chigau.
Every time I meet Yamada, his hair style changes.

この歌を聴くたびに、大学生時代を思い出す。
kono uta o kiku tabi ni, daigakusei jidai o omoidasu.
Whenever I listen to this song, it reminds me of my college years.

おじさんは旅行に行くたびに、お土産を買ってきてくれる。
ojisan wa ryokou ni iku tabi ni, omiyage o katte kureru.
My uncle always buys me souvenirs whenever he travels.

最近、彼会うたびに忙しい、忙しいって言ってる。
saikin, kare au tabi ni isogashii, isogashii tte itteru.
Lately, whenever I see him, he says “I’m busy, I’m busy.”
