むしろ + phrase

Example sentences:

彼だけが涼しい顔だ。むしろかなり楽しんでいるようにさえ見えた。
kare dake ga suzushii kao da. mushiro kanari tanoshinde iru you ni sae mieta.
He alone looked calm. Indeed, he looked as though he was quite enjoying himself.

彼は死ぬことをいっこうに気にしていないようだった。むしろ、喜んでいるようでさえあった。
kare wa shinu koto o ikkou ni ki ni shite inai you datta. mushiro, yorokonde iru you de sae atta.
He didn’t seem to worry about dying at all. He even looked rather happy.

役に立つどころか、むしろ逆効果な警告だ。
yaku ni tatsu dokoro ka, mushiro gyakukouka na keikoku da.
The advice is far from being useful. It has the opposite effect.

幸せそうな顔など一つもない。むしろ、五歳児扱いされて、みな愕然とした顔だ。
shiawasesou na kao nado hitotsu mo nai. mushiro, gosaiji atsukai sarete, minna gakuzen toshita kao da.
None of the faces look happy. On the contrary, they all look rather taken aback at being addressed as though they are five years old.

これはむしろあなたの領域だ。
kore wa mushiro anata no ryouiki da.
This is much more your territory than mine.
