こちらを向いた拍子にあらわれたその顔の表情は、彼を驚かせた。
kochira o muita hyoushi ni arawareta sono kao no hyoujou wa, kare o odorokaseta.
The expression on her face as she turned it towards him quite startled him.

つまずいた拍子に、石にぶつかってしまったんで、ほんとに偶然だったんです。
tsumazuita hyoushi ni, ishi ni butsukatte shimattan de, honto ni guuzen dattan desu.
I stumbled and fell against it. I swear it was an accident.

くしゃみをした拍子にメガネが落ちた。
kushami o shita hyoushi ni megane ga ochita.
My glasses fell as I sneezed.

あの人がけとばした拍子に、長椅子の下に入ってしまったんです。
ano hito ga ketobashita hyoushi ni, nagaisu no shita ni haitte shimattan desu.
She kicked it away and it went under a settee.
