Meaning: the moment (something happens)

Formation:

Verb-casual, past + 瞬間(に)
Noun + の瞬間(に)

Example sentences:

彼女の顔を見た瞬間にわかったんです。
kanojo no kao o mita shunkan ni wakattan desu.
I knew the moment I looked at her.

いまこの瞬間に、わたしがなにを望んでいるか、おわかりですか?
ima kono shukan ni, watashi ga nani o nozonde iru ka, owakari desu ka.
Do you know what I should like this minute?

わたしは書斎へ入った瞬間に、あの刀に気がつきました。
watashi wa shosai e haitta shunkan ni, ano katana ni ki ga tsukimashita.
I saw that sword the the moment I came into the study.

事実彼のはいってきた瞬間、僕は極度の危険をかんじた。
jijitsu kare no haitte kita shunkan, boku wa kyokudo no kiken o kanjita.
The fact is that upon his entrance I had instantly recognized the extreme personal danger in which I lay.

あなたを一目見た瞬間、恋に落ちました。
anata o hitome mita shunkan, koi ni ochimashita.
I fell in love with you the moment I saw you.

あの死体が車内から落ちたものでなく、屋根の上から落ちたのだと知った瞬間に、わたしにはわかった。
ano shitai ga shanai kara ochita mono de naku, yane no ue kara ochita no da to shitta shunkan ni, watashi niwa wakatta.
That was clear from the instant that I determined the fact that it was from the roof, and not from a carriage, that he had fallen.
