Formation:

さぞ(かし) + phrase

Example sentences:

こんなに晩くまでお働きくださいまして、さぞお疲れでございましょう。
konna ni osoku made ohataraki kudasaimashite, sazo otsukare degozaimashou.
You must be weary, for you have had a long day.

さぞおもしろいことがあったでしょうね。
sazo omoshiroi koto ga atta deshou ne.
It must have been very interesting.

彼女は男に生まれたらよかったのに。さぞかし偉大な航海者になったでもあろう。
kanojo wa otoko ni umaretara yokatta noni. sazokashi idai na koukaisha ni natta demo arou.
If only she were born a man. She would have made the greatest voyager.

みんなさぞ骨が折れることだろう。
minna sazo hone ga oreru koto darou.
They’ll have a hard time, I’m afraid.

さぞびっくりなすったでしょうが、その説明はごく簡単です。
sazo bikkuri nasutta deshou ga, sono setsumei wa goku kantan desu.
You must have been surprised, but the explanation is very simple.

ここに閉じこめられる間中、さぞ退屈に苦しめられるだろう。
koko ni tojikomerareru aidajuu, sazo taikutsu ni kurushimerareru darou.
Many hours of boredom lay ahead whilst we are stuck here.

わたしのことをさぞ無情な冷たい女だとお思いでございましょうねえ。
watashi no koto o sazo mujou na tsumetai onna da to oomoi degozaimashou nee.
I fear that you think me callous and hard-hearted.
