kuugun no engo mo erarezu, teki no kuushuu o ukeru bakari datta.
The troops were badly harried by air attack, and lacked air support themselves.

やがて教育を受けた労働者が必要になり、後にはMBAを取得した経営者が必要になった。
yagate kyouiku o uketa roudousha ga hitsuyou ni nari, nochi ni wa emubiee o shutoku shita keieisha ga hitsuyou ni natta.
Soon they needed somewhat educated workers. Later they needed managers with MBAs.
